What is orthodontics?

Orthodontics is the treatment that corrects problems in the position of the teeth and jaws. Straight teeth are not just about looks; they are easier to clean, reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease, and help protect the health of the jaw joint.

Which problems are treated?

• Crowded or widely spaced teeth
• Upper and lower jaw misalignment (underbite or overbite)
• Open bite and deep bite

Bracket options

Durable metal brackets or less visible, tooth-colored ceramic brackets can be used. We choose the right option together during your examination.

Treatment duration

Depending on the complexity of the case, treatment usually takes 12–24 months. Checkups are scheduled once a month; at the end of treatment, a fixed or removable retainer is used to maintain the result.
